Chief Executive Officer
Ruth has been working in aviation for 18 years in a variety of senior financial roles with both established and start-up aircraft leasing enterprises.
A founding member of RBS Aviation Capital (“RBSAC”), she held a number of executive roles in the company. These included Head of Investor Markets (with the global responsibility for aircraft trading, debt syndication and sourcing financing) and Head of Risk and Strategy. She was part of the founding team of Goshawk which was established in 2013 and became CEO of the business in 2015.
Ruth is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UCD and a Masters in Accounting from UCD Smurfit Business School.
Chief Technical Officer
Andy has 40 years experience in the aviation industry, having started his career as an avionics engineer. For the past 30 years he has worked in aircraft leasing in both Technical and Marketing roles with GPA, GECAS, Magellan Air, RBS Aviation Capital, Investec Bank and Goshawk.
Andy built up technical teams from scratch in Magellan, RBS and Investec as well as Goshawk and was responsible for major purchase programmes of new aircraft from Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer and ATR.
Andy is an ISTAT Certified Senior Aircraft Appraiser and examiner. He is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Wings Club
Amanda joined Goshawk as a Financial Accountant in November 2016. Prior to joining, Amanda worked at PwC where she gained knowledge and experience in the provision of audit services in the aircraft leasing industry, as well as other banking and capital market institutions.
Amanda is a qualified accountant (ACA), having undertaken her training contract in the PwC Banking Audit department.
Caitríona joined Goshawk in autumn of 2016 and is responsible for the group tax function. Prior to this, Caitríona was a Tax Director in PwC where she practiced for 15 years in the financial services industry, advising international leasing companies, Irish and international banks and treasury companies on both domestic and international tax matters.
Caitríona specialises in tax structuring within Ireland, assessing the relevant domestic, withholding and transaction tax considerations. Caitríona has a BA in Law and Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant as well as a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser.
Carina joined Goshawk from AWAS in November 2015. During her nine years at AWAS, she held several key roles in the commercial department. Most recently, Carina held the role of Vice President, Trading, for the past six years. During this time, she was responsible for originating and executing both divestment and acquisition campaigns for AWAS’ investment portfolio. Carina began her aviation career with CIT Aerospace, supporting the Managing Director and EMEA sales team.
Carina holds an MBA from The Michael Smurfit School of Business University College Dublin as well as a Marketing Degree from the Marketing Institute of Ireland. She is also a Director of ORBIS Ireland, a charity striving to eliminate avoidable blindness in developing countries.
Sales & Marketing, Americas
Christine joined Goshawk in August 2016 and is responsible for originating sale-and-leaseback and aircraft placement opportunities in the Americas. Prior to joining Goshawk, Christine gathered nine years of aircraft leasing experience at CIT Aerospace which resulted in close relationships with the airlines in the region.
Christine earned both Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds a commercial pilot’s license.
Commercial & Corporate Finance
Ciara joined Goshawk in November 2016 as a member of the Commercial and Corporate Finance team. Prior to joining Goshawk, Ciara spent two years with AWAS, working as part of the Commercial Team supporting the Managing Director and the Sales Team for the EMEA Region.
Ciara holds a postgraduate Level 9 Specialist Diploma in Aircraft Leasing and Financing from the University of Limerick, an undergraduate dual honours degree in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Ireland (Maynooth), a Certificate in Aircraft Acquisition and Finance from the Institute of Technology Carlow and is currently working towards obtaining a Specialist Diploma in Continuing Airworthiness and Maintenance Management.
Head of Treasury
Damian joined Goshawk in January 2017 from Ryanair. Further details to follow.
Technical Asset Management
Daniel Claffey joined Goshawk’s Technical Asset Management department in April 2016.
Prior to joining Goshawk, Daniel worked with Engine Lease Finance Corporation as a Powerplant Engineer. He was responsible for the technical management of engine assets throughout the lease term and project managing numerous special projects.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast.
Commercial & Corporate Finance
David joined the Commercial and Corporate Finance department in December 2016. Prior to joining Goshawk, David spent 5 years with MUFG, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ in London, responsible for the distribution of corporate loans, project/structured finance and derivative exposure across the EMEA region. David previously spent 4 years in Leveraged/Acquisition Finance for AIB in Dublin and London.
David has a BA in Economics from University College Dublin, a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from UCD Smurfit School, and a Masters in Risk and Asset Management from EDHEC Business School, France. In addition, he has passed levels 1 and 2 of the CFA programme.
Head of Credit Risk
David joined Goshawk in 2015 from SMBC Aviation Capital. He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial and aircraft leasing sector. Before joining SMBC as Senior VP in Credit Risk, David held senior roles at NCB Stockbrokers (now owned by Investec) in Dublin, including Deputy Head of Equity Research. He is a qualified accountant and holds an MSc in Finance from Imperial College, London, and an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance (BBS) from Trinity College.
Technical Asset Management
Donal joined the Technical Asset Management team in November 2016.
Sales & Marketing, EMEAI
Eamonn is responsible for Airline Sales and Marketing in the Europe Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) region and has over twelve years’ experience in aviation.
In his current role, leading airline relationships in EMEAI, Eamonn has responsibility for the origination of all sale-and-leaseback and aircraft-placement activity in the region.
Before joining Goshawk, Eamonn was a SVP in SMBC Aviation Capital and began his career as a lawyer with Matheson.
Eamonn has a BCL from University College Cork, a MBA from University College Dublin and is also a qualified Solicitor.
Head of Corporate Finance & Commercial Support
Edel has over nine years’ experience in the aviation leasing industry and spent over six years in KPMG specialising in aviation leasing and banking before joined Intrepid Aviation as Financial Controller Ireland. Initially, Edel joined Goshawk as Financial Accountant and was promoted to Head of Corporate Finance & Commercial Support in October 2017.
Edel holds a Masters in Accounting and is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Elaine has over 15 years’ experience in senior roles in the financial services industry in Ireland and internationally.
Most recently, she was financial controller for Santos Dumont, having previously held senior finance, operations and programme management roles with Brandeaux Administrators, CIT, BISYS and PwC.
Elaine was responsible for many significant finance-and-operations transformation projects within these organisations.
Before joining Goshawk in 2016 as Document Manager, Ellen worked in the Public Relations team for the Luxe division of L’Oréal.
In her role with Goshawk, Ellen is responsible for setting up and implementing the Document Management process. She has been involved in various operations projects across treasury, contract management and process improvement.
Ellen holds an Masters in Business Management from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from University College Dublin.
Eoin joined the Treasury team at Goshawk in March 2017.
Galvia has nine years’ experience in the Financial Services sector having started her career in IFS, a State Street Company. Spending six years with Brandeaux Administrators, she gained key experience covering both financial services and share dealing.
Galvia continued her career at Altamont Investment Services, where she provided specialist bespoke investment management services to family offices, private investors and investment funds.
She is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Gareth joined Goshawk in October 2017 as Legal Counsel. Gareth trained and worked with McCann FitzGerald Solicitors for four years gaining experience in a number of areas including debt capital markets, corporate borrowing, taxation and aviation finance and leasing. During this time, he was seconded to Standard Chartered Bank Aviation Finance (Pembroke Capital Limited) as in-house legal counsel between April 2016 and September 2016.
He is an Irish qualified solicitor and has a degree in Law from Trinity College Dublin.
Graeme joined Goshawk in September 2016 as Legal Counsel. Before joining Goshawk, Graeme spent over six years training and working with McCann FitzGerald Solicitors with four of those years practicing as a solicitor in the aviation finance and leasing department. During this time, he acted for a number of lessors, financial institutions, export credit agencies and airlines and advised on numerous aspects in respect of leasing and financing aircraft.
Graeme has also worked on secondment as in-house legal counsel for Pembroke Capital Limited (Standard Chartered Bank) between August 2015 and January 2016.
He is an Irish qualified solicitor and has a degree in Business and Legal Studies (BBLS) from University College Dublin.
Jonathan joined Goshawk in January 2017 as Treasury Accountant. He has over 10 years’ experience in a variety of finance roles and joined Goshawk from AWAS where he was part of the Treasury team at AWAS responsible for the management and settlement of the outstanding debt and derivative positions, funding and execution of cash settlement for aircraft deliveries, cash management and investment, FX trading and financial compliance.
Jonathan received a MSc in Investment, Treasury & Banking from Dublin City University and a BA in Business Management from the Institute of Technology Tallaght.
Technical Asset Management
Julian joined Goshawk with over 30 years of aviation experience in October 2017. Prior to joining, Julian worked as a technical consulted for a couple of leasing companies and a start-up Hong Kong airline.
His career in aviation commenced at Provincetown Boston Airlines and United Airlines in their shop and line maintenance respectively. Julian then embarked on a long career in various technical sections with Cathay Pacific Airways, where he got involved in new and used aircraft transitions, aircraft end of lease projects, Technical Services, Maintenance Services Procurement, Cabin Engineering and Aircraft Projects. Julian also represented Cathay Pacific onsite at Airbus and at many major seat vendors.
Julian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Saint Louis University (USA) and is a committee member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Aircraft Division). He also holds a FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and has attended various approval and technical courses ranging from the Boeing B747 and B777 to the Airbus A330 and A320 fleet types.
Sales & Marketing, EMEA
Kaiori is responsible for structuring and evaluating commercial opportunities in both trading and sale-leaseback acquisitions with Goshawk, as well as aircraft transitions and disposals.
Kaiori joined Goshawk after spending three years in AWAS where her responsibilities included the strategic and financial planning of the company, fleet valuation, and lessor peer reviews. She was also responsible for the financial evaluation of aircraft acquisitions, sales and transitions. Kaiori began her career in KPMG where she worked in a variety of audit and advisory roles.
Kaiori is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
Kate joined Goshawk as a Financial Accountant in June 2016. Prior to joining, Kate worked at Standard Chartered Aviation where she gained experience in a number of roles in the finance department.
Kate is a qualified accountant (ACA), having undertaken her training contract in the KPMG Financial Services Audit department.
Katy joined Goshawk as Financial Accountant in August 2017 and has over 5 years aviation experience. Previously, she held the role of Finance Manager at Avolon. Her career in finance started at Bank of Ireland, where she joined originally on the Group’s Graduate Programme.
Katy is ACCA qualified and holds a diploma in Corporate Finance.
Chief Operating Officer
Kelli-Ann joined Goshawk in September 2015 and is responsible for building the Goshawk operating platform.
Kelli-Ann has over ten years’ aviation leasing experience. As Head of Transaction Management in RBS Aviation Capital she managed the Deliveries and Funding and Contract Management teams.
Kelli-Ann holds a Masters in Business Studies from NUIG.
Kevin joined Goshawk in May 2016 as a Contract Manager. Prior to joining Goshawk, Kevin completed a number of internships in corporate law firms gaining experience in transactional based work.
Kevin holds a Law (BCL) degree from University College Cork and an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Limerick.
Strategy & Risk
Konrad has over eight years’ experience in the aviation industry. In his previous role at SMBC Aviation Capital, he was primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of risk models. He also served as an internal appraiser, shareholder and was responsible for management reporting.
Konrad was involved in the successful sale of RBS Aviation Capital to SMFG and Sumitomo Corp in 2012 and the acquisition of Sumisho Aircraft Asset Management and Sumitomo Mitsui Aviation Capital by SMBC Aviation Capital in 2013.
Konrad holds a Masters in Statistics and Economics from Warsaw School of Economics, as well as an MBA from University College Dublin. He is an ISTAT Appraiser Candidate.
Louise joined Goshawk in June 2016 as Legal Counsel having gained aviation experience working with Elix Aviation and in banking.
She is a New York qualified Attorney and Irish Solicitor.
Technical Asset Management
Martin’s role is focused on the technical management of the Group’s aircraft, both owned and managed. Working in aviation for over 26 years, Martin began his career as an engineer with Shannon Aerospace in 1990. Over the last 17 years, he has worked with several aircraft leasing companies, including BBAM, RBS & MCAP and more recently with NAC as VP Technical.

Martin joined Goshawk in October 2017.
Matthew joined Goshawk as a Contract Manager in April 2016. Prior to joining, he worked at Jetstar Airways based in Singapore and Australia.
Matthew holds a Master in Business Internationalisation and a Business Degree specialising in Economics and Finance from Waterford Institute of Technology.
Head of Human Resources
Michelle has over 15 years’ experience working in senior HR roles across a number of sectors including retail, professional services and financial services.
Michelle is responsible for the HR function in Goshawk. Her role involves advising on how to create and support Goshawk’s organisational values as well as recruitment.
She holds a BSocSc from UCD and a BA in Human Resource Management from National College of Ireland.
Sale and Marketing, China
Ming has over 20 years’ aviation experience in both the airline and leasing industries. Working with China Eastern for more than eleven years, he progressed from taking responsibility for aircraft financing to overall financial control and planning within the company. Ming joined GECAS in 2004 where he was primarily responsible for originating leasing and trading transactions with Chinese airlines and financial institutions.
Miriam joined Goshawk as Treasury Accountant and has over eight years banking experience. Most recently, she worked in Bank of America as part of the Managed Treasury Liquidity Services team providing outsourced treasury functions such as daily cash and liquidity management, netting, FX trading and hedging programs.
Miriam is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (International) with German from UCD.
Paul joined Goshawk in November 2017.
Chief Legal Officer
Peter joined Goshawk in 2015 from Avolon. After he qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2001, he spent ten years in private practice and was based both in London and the Middle East. Throughout this period, Peter specialised in asset financing (with a particular emphasis on aircraft) and leasing work.
Over the course of his private practice career he acted for a number of banks, lessors, airlines and export credit agencies. In 2011 Peter joined Avolon’s legal team where he was involved in a wide range of aircraft leasing, sale and financing transactions (including capital market, ECA and Ex-Im financings) and Avolon’s manufacturer orders.
Chief Commercial Officer
Peter became Chief Commercial Officer of Goshawk in April 2015. He has over 19 years of aviation experience in the airline and leasing industries.
Peter joined Freshfields in 1996 before moving to British Airways in 2000 where he went on to run the aircraft finance and trading team. In November 2005, he joined Allco Finance Group where he was responsible for originating and structuring aircraft leasing transactions. He subsequently spent a year with Hong Kong Aviation Capital following its purchase of the Allco aviation division before joining Investec in May 2011.
Peter is a qualified solicitor.
Pilar joined the Legal team at Goshawk in April 2017 and is responsible for Corporate Governance and Compliance matters. Prior to joining Goshawk, she spent two and a half years in the Airbus Legal & Compliance Department in the UK and Spain.
Pilar holds a Master in Professional Development from the Universidad Alcalá de Henares and a Master’s Degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, is a Spanish Qualified Lawyer and a Member of the Colegio de Abogados de Madrid (Legal Bar Association of Madrid).
Airline Credit Risk
Robert joined Goshawk in June 2016 as Credit Analyst focusing on EMEA and the Americas.
Prior to joining Goshawk, Robert led Investec Bank’s pan-European airlines and aviation equity research. Before that, he held positions with Aer Lingus, Cowen and Company and State Street Global Advisors (formerly Bank of Ireland Asset Management).
Robert is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a Masters in Finance and Capital Markets (Dublin City University) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Trinity College Dublin).
Technical Asset Management
Shauna joined Goshawk in September 2016.
She began her aviation career in 2011 as a trainee Aircraft Maintenance Technician with Lufthansa Technik Shannon (formerly Shannon Aerospace). Since completing her apprenticeship she has held a number positions including line maintenance engineer with Ryanair in Northern Europe and the UK, Technical Services Engineer with a Shannon-based CAMO, and as a Technical Services Liaison engineer with TAG Engineering in Farnborough.
Shauna holds an EASA part 66 category A license and a Certificate in Business in Technical Aircraft Management from Carlow Institute of Technology.
Head of Corporate Finance
Stephen has responsibility for Goshawk’s debt-capital-raising and corporate finance activities and was promoted to Head of Corporate Finance in October 2017. With 12 years’ aviation and financing experience, he has previously worked for HSBC Bank plc, Bank of Ireland and Deloitte. Most recently, Stephen spent a number of years establishing HSBC’s aviation business in Ireland, dealing with lessors across the entire capital markets spectrum.
Stephen has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Masters of Business Studies, both from University College Cork.
Tamara is responsible for the operational, IT and logistical requirements of Goshawk. She has over 20 years’ experience in supporting executives and managing projects in the Aviation, IT and Finance sector in Ireland and Germany.
Tamara joined from Alexion where she supported the EVP Global Operations. Prior to working with Alexion, she worked at AWAS, supporting the COO.
Tamara holds a Diploma in Office Management, a Certificate in Business Studies from the Open College and a Certificate in Business Systems Analysis from the National College of Ireland.
Thomas joined Goshawk as a Financial Accountant in December 2016. Thomas comes to Goshawk with over 13 years’ experience working in the aviation industry within the Ryanair finance team. Having started in Ryanair as a trainee accountant, he progressed to the positions of Management Accountant, Finance Manager and Head of Fuel.
During his time in Ryanair his responsibilities included preparation of monthly and quarterly financial accounts packs, budget preparation, fuel hedging management and P&L forecasting. He also has extensive commercial experience stemming from his role as Head of Fuel where he was responsible for negotiating all Jet Fuel contracts across the network.
Thomas is a qualified chartered certified accountant.
Head of Contract Management
Trish worked for Investec for ten years, the last five of which were spent within the Global Aviation team, managing the Irish operations of the Group’s aviation funds. She has experience across a number of the middle and back-office processes, as well as transactional tax and legal review on a variety of deals. Trish was also closely involved in the operations of Investec’s first aviation debt fund. Before Investec, Trish worked with EY in a Risk Advisory role, and with the UK Financial Services Authority supervising major US investment banking groups.
The business is owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited and NWS Holdings Limited.
