Airline Credit Risk Analyst

 

Reporting To: Head of Risk

Location: Dublin

 

Description Of Role And Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for analysing airline and jurisdiction risk, and “covering” current and potential lessees globally
  • While limited due to Covid restrictions, the role will involve travel for on site due diligence meetings with airline customers
  • Participate in Lease Contract negotiation and lease restructuring
  • Produce internal credit papers for each transaction and work with other members of the team through each step of the deal approval process through to the closure of a transaction
  • Develop strong relationships with across the industry and within the client base of Goshawk.  Perform regular customer meetings to update credit risk analysis
  • Work with the Strategy and portfolio managers to define the optimal portfolio composition and potential disposals
  • Provide risk reports and updates to shareholders as required
  • To manage covenant compliance and support customer KYC requirements
  • Liaise with all relevant parties both internal and external to ensure all ongoing reporting requirements are met

Prerequisite Core Skills And Knowledge Required:

  • Strong understanding of the aviation industry and fundamentals around aircraft leasing and financing
  • Proven abilities in analysing companies / airlines, financial statements and sector trends
  • Commercial outlook and deal driven
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with key external (airlines/lessors etc.) and internal Goshawk interfaces
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate the Goshawk business clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, with presenting experience
  • Strong organisational ability combined with a proactive approach
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively
  • Operate at all times as a team player
  • ACCA/CFA/CIMA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
