Team: Corporate Finance and Commercial Support

Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer

Location: Dublin

Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring the Corporate Finance and Commercial Support (CFCS) team
    • Driving improvement initiatives within CFCS and cross functionally
    • Ensuring processes are developed to support the changing needs of the business
    • Running weekly team meetings and escalating any issues to CCO.
    • Overseeing the training and development of the CFCS team
    • Holding one-on-one support meetings with team members
    • Allocating responsibility for tasks and ad hoc queries (external and internal) as they arise and monitoring progress
    • Validating and authorising CFCS activities in accordance with Goshawk processes
  • Being a ‘Team Lead’ and part of the Management Team; participating in cross functional initiatives and project groups.
  • Manage the team in analysing and assisting with cross functional projects relating to Commercial and/or Corporate Finance (ABS, M&A activities etc).
  • To proactively recommend solutions to enhance the economic returns of transactions.
  • Overseeing the production of quarterly board and monthly Exco papers.
  • Liaise with Shareholders as part of weekly calls
  • To oversee teams work with corporate finance in connection with debt raising activities, including reviewing term sheets and analysing the implications of debt terms on underlying commercial transaction.
  • To proactively recommend solutions to enhance the economic returns of transactions.
  • Overseeing the production of quarterly board and monthly Exco papers.
  • Responsible for leading team in analysing, structuring and pricing transactions originated by the Commercial team.
  • To assist in producing internal approval papers and presentations for each transaction and work with other members of the business through each step of the deal approval process through to the closure of a transaction.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties both internal and external to ensure all ongoing reporting requirements are met and resolve all deal related issues on a timely basis.
  • Assist with portfolio management reporting and budgeting process.

Prerequisite Core Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Strong understanding of the aviation industry and fundamentals around aircraft leasing and financing.
  • Experience in leading a team.
  • Strong excel capabilities and analytical ability to communicate results.
  • Relationship Management and communication skills: Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with key external and internal Goshawk interfaces.
  • Strong organisational ability combined with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities when under pressure.
  • To operate at all times as a team player.
