Technical Project Management

Reporting to: Head of Technical

Location: Dublin

Description of role:

With other Technical Project Managers, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible to the Head of Technical for the performance of required Technical Project Management tasks:

  • Project management of deliveries, redeliveries and repossession of assets
  • Prime Deal Team member on Lease Transactions
  • Management of multiple on-site delivery/redelivery teams
  • Pricing of aircraft specifications.
  • Valuation and specification of aircraft being purchased by Goshawk
  • Maintenance cost projections
  • Integral part of marketing, remarketing and contract negotiation teams
  • Liaison with OEMs, MROs, engine shops and Aviation authorities
  • Technical relationships at senior level with client airlines
  • Management of 3rd party technical service providers
  • Purchasing
  • Budgeting and budget oversight for technical projects
  • Data base integrity for technical data
  • Scrutiny and approval of maintenance reserve claims
  • Oversight of major aircraft checks and engine shop visits
  • Arranging customer visits as required for aircraft inspections
  • Building OEM and MRO relationships
  • Arrangement of own, extensive foreign travel
  • Building relationships with Aviation Authorities in the countries where Goshawk and associated companies have aircraft on lease
  • Technical due diligence on airline customers
  • Liaison with airframe and engine manufacturers
  • Be an ambassador for Goshawk and associated companies

Prerequisite Core Skills and Knowledge Required:

Technical Knowledge

  • Extensive shop floor and/or operational experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Leasing operations, deliveries and transitions
  • Licences or company approvals
  • 3rd level qualifications in engineering or business
  • Team leadership
  • Airframe and/or engine experience
  • Airline operations and systems
  • Aircraft records
  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint
